Having been laid off from his temporary job, Sarou was wandering aimlessly, searching for a place to die. In a port town he drifted to, he heard a voice call out "Dad!" and turned to see a junior high school student he didn't know, Rinne, standing there. Sarou tried to avoid her and push her away, but Rinne silently followed him. Then, out of nowhere, she pressed him, "Uncle, aren't you my dad?" Sensing the scent of death in each other, the two gradually became a temporary father and daughter, deciding to surrender to the tranquil moment that was about to come...
